Dwight “The General”; Manfredi: I really don’t go to church
The opening credits sequence features various photographic and painted views, as well as Oklahoma landmarks, superimposed on the New York City landscape: The statue of a Sioux Indian chief named “Touch the Clouds” wearing a War Bonnet and Bone Choker necklace, placed atop the Brooklyn Bridge The statue of the Golden Driller, placed on the Statue of Liberty’s Route 66 Western Gateway Arch, placed on Major Manhattan “Avenue”. In New York City, Manhattan, these are a series of numbered “Avenues” which are crisscrossed by smaller numbered streets.

Likeable and reasonably deep characters, a believable plot, and a tolerable pace are the driving forces behind this show. Stallone is good as the lead, but I really like Andrea Savage and her character, a very nice performance.
I really appreciated Stallone not trying to look younger when his character Dwight honestly mentions his age and how it might affect his relationship with a younger woman
The cinematography and music are nothing to write home about, both are good enough to help keep the show entertaining, but not really adding value or standing out. My review makes the show look pretty average, but I still rate it an 8/10 because it’s a good entertainer, not a TV/cinema masterpiece or tour de force.
